Yes you can. The internal memory is handled exactly the same as an SD card by your PC - it's just seen as another external drive, so you can copy and paste to it (and back it up!) just as you are used to.
However, you might find that, out of the box, an XL"2" has the "dumbed-down" menus that stop you using third party POIs fully, but TomTom have accepted they made a mistake and have released new software to bring back most of the functionality.
The same is not currently true for the Start or upcoming Go1000 models, which are still without it.
But if you are looking at refurbished... an original XL (Preferably LIVE IQ models) or a Go x30 model would possibly be a better buy anyway. |

I ask because I want to speed up my device (XL) Can it be done? Normally I would put a faster SD card in. What are my options in this case? |

There are no options to speed it up other than ensuring there are no files on there that are not required such as additional languages etc. _________________ Darren Griffin |
