Downloaded but problems

Hello, I bought it and its installed but I'm having difficulties with the database. I go into the app and then to the setting page and then go into manage cameras. It says that I am not subscibed for downloads and one of the options is to link my PocketGPSWorld account. I've done that successfully and it told me it was linked and I have one free download to the database available. I then clicked into the download database and it did but when it got to the end it said it couldn't complete the download as I wasn't subscribed for downloads. I thought maybe the app needed to be restarted so I double clicked the button and stopped the app and then restarted it. When I go into the app now and then to manage cameras its telling me Status: You are not subscribed for downloads and I have options to subscribe or link my account. If I click link it says I have down that already and if I click subscribe its trying to take me to the paypal £19.99 screen. I don't appear to be able to download the database using the one free download thats part of the app Question

Looking at your account, you don't have a subscription associated with cardiff_gareth.

If you bought your subscription via the device, then it will have created a new account for you in the format CAxxxxxxx. This information is provided to you at point of purchase.

For us to now resolve this and transfer your subscription to this user-account we will need some details from you.

Please open a support ticket here. We will need your user-name and the PayPal TransactionID fro your subscription payment in order that we can locate it and transfer.

It will make life easier if you can also provide your iPhone UDID, a guide to obtaining this can be found here:

Do you need a subscription to download the one free update? Just reading the last line of the OP.

Sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick, I though Gareth had subscribed. Now I've re-read it and understand.

Gareth, our records show you did have the one time free download, made at 9am yesterday to iPhone UDID:

What device database version does CamerAlert show on the Manage Cameras screen?

edited by MaFt - not sure how wise it is to publish UDID's?

Server: 8.095 (27586)
Device 8.095 (27586)

I paid through iTunes so I don't have a Paypal receipt number

sorry, can't edit the above post. I also, under manage camera's, linked my cardiff_gareth pocketGPSWorld account to the device and app

If you look at the top left of every page on this website you'll see it'll tell you the date and version number of the latest database. 8.095 is the latest database therefore you have your free download.

Also the app is telling you the device (iPhone) database and server (PGPSW) database are the same further confirming you have the latest version.

To get any more updates you'll need to buy a subscription.

Finally it edit a post look for the EDIT button at the top right of each of your posts.

Ah excellent, panic over then! Weird as it said it couldn't update the database as I wasn't registered but it has Confused
