Driving Home distracted by thinking of work related issues, did'nt spot the plain white van and cameras on tripods at Cardiff Gate this evening.
Is it a speed trap or number plate checking cams? I was doing 90 so will get my answer for sure in about 2 weeks.
Any Help? |

Yep, I saw it as well, about 6.15pm facing the eastbound traffic, There were no markings on the van that I could see.
Checked the database here, because I'm sure I didn't hear it ping on my TT. There is a reversible mobile camera shown but in the middle of the roundabout.
wasn't sure whether to submit as a seen again or as a new one.
I would guess they were speed to be honest.

Tripods? One for each lane? ANPR for tax dodgers and uninsured drivers. |

No markings (have seen them with a yellow flashing light though!), camera per lane of traffic and no one standing beside the camera to aim it sounds like ANPR.
So long as you are taxed, insured and not stolen then you are OK. _________________ Gone fishing! |

I thought it looked a bit strange, to be honest I didn't see the tripods though. Thinking about the time I saw it, it was probably more like 6.35ish, getting quite dark/dusk to be honest. I didn't leave my parents until 6.10.
The van was parked over lane 1, a small black window directly behind passenger door, no side door and no larger window in the panel.
My speed was fine (I hope)
In view of the comments, I'm not going to submit it as a seen again, 'cos I'm not entirely sure what it was I saw _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |
