|
|
Hi
Thinking of getting Tom Tom app at long last. UK & Europe are both currently £42.99. Seems a no-brainer to get Europe. Am I missing something? _________________ Alan - iPhone 5 64GB, with CamerAlert, TomTom Europe & CoPilot |

You need to answer this one:
Do you ever drive on the EUM (EU Mainland)?
That will answer your question.
I only ever drive in UK, France & Belgium, so I buy a unit/maps which cover that area + the surrounding area to ensure that if I have to go from UK to the Netherlands, I can do so easily. _________________ Be alert.. This country needs more lerts. |

But as both apps cost the same why should anyone consider the UK map over the Europe one other than the size of the download and subsequent memory size?
For example do they both have the same level of details? |

The thing is, is it a zoned map of the EUM or a complete version that you're getting for your money? _________________ Be alert.. This country needs more lerts. |

The map supplied with the iPhone app isn't zoned, the only viable reason to get the regional map rather than WE coverage is if you are running short of storage space on the iPhone - Mike |

Excellent. That answers a question I've been meaning to ask for a while. Makes you wonder why they are the same price then? |

If you have a 16Gb iPhone then giving up 2Gb or so to TomTom for map data you will use only occasionally is an issue to consider.
The UK one is also on offer hence the price. _________________ Darren Griffin |
