Hi, I've got 780 files with 300,000 poi loaded on a 2Gb SD card in my Nuvi 250W. There doesn't seem to be any speed loss. When the Garmin Poi Loader converts these to a GPI file on the unit, it's only about 28Mb so the file size is not an issue on the sd card. Dunno about the 205W micro and it's memory addressing capabilities. |

Thanks for your reply and info Kevinje. I don’t know it must be something else. Each time I am in a city and I am turning a corner the little car on the screen just doesn’t want to keep up and lags behind. And also in some areas you can’t even see the road with all the poi on the screen. But take the sd card out there is no problem the poi don’t even show up on route. You can see I am new to the world of sat nav. Cheers. |

How many categories do you both have loaded? This is the number of individual CSV files and not the actual number of POIs. I believe this is what affects the speed more than the actual number of POIs as the unit has to poll the files one after another. |
