Quote: | I just connected to TomTom Home with my UK purchased 940 Live and am still being offered a v 9.054 Navcore Update. However I'm currently connected to the internet from a Telefonica Spanish ADSL IP address so I suppose its possible those connection from UK IP addresses are no longer being offered this Navcore. |
Those of us in the UK are still being offered version 9.054 I am with BT Internet so have a UK IP address.
I was one of the unfortunate ones who originally installed 9.054 and had to revert back.
I also deleted the download from my computer so it is not as if Home is trying to install a previously downloaded version but is continuing to offer the update. _________________ Malcolm

Hi Guys,
it is still offering me 9.054 for my TT940, so I would hope they would give it a different number if and when it is fixed.

It is perhaps worth celebrating the completion of a whole month since this thread was started. Congratulations TomTom, you are not even able to sort out what should be a quite basic task of supporting the SIMs that you supplied and have supported successfully in the past, nor to stop pretty much every user who connected in the last month from "breaking" their devices core functionality, and main selling point, the LIVE services. This should, if justice were fair, result in the sacking of the CTO in my opinion. If they cannot organise themselves to at least pull the problem, then they are truly incompetent. It is a fail on a massive scale in all sorts of ways. |

I'm tempted to start posting about long-standing issues like this on various Tomtom investor/shareholder forums. Might focus minds a little more than posting here seems to... |

still being offered 9.054 for my go 940 live
love hate relationship with the 940 live
love the traffic service
hate having to ask for 3 times on average for home to work traffic before route takes !
hate being told there is 45 minutes of traffic on way home and decide to go 1 minute in a different direction then it finding a route home 5 minutes longer then original but no traffic delays - why can't it find that route in the first place |

Yes, 9.054 still on offer to me as well (540 Live) so clearly they don't give a toss for those poor sods who have yet to accept the update but are blissfully unaware of the trouble it will cause.
It's just pathetic. |

No doubt when the malware is fixed it will still be the same release version to hide the fault. _________________ Drivelux |

I don't understand why they have not fixed this yet.
I dont suppose anyone recently has tried it to see if they didnt change the version number but have in fact fixed it.

Its hardly the only glaring defect in their Live services product portfolio that they haven't remedied though is it.
What about a joke fuel price comparison service listing endless garages that have long ago closed and further garages that do exist but where the last price update was several months ago. The fact that even the garages that do regularly update have prices up to 5 days out of date is the final way in which the complete uselessness of this service is also ensured by TomTom.
Meanwhile their rival www.petrolprices.com offers an almost totally reliable and accurate petrol price comparison product.
The bottom line is that the senior management of TomTom simply don't care about their corporate reputation and clearly think that the dumb customers can easily have the wool pulled over their eyes. |

I just updated my 540 and it's still broken.
It's taking far too long to fix this problem.

How long is this now?
We should have some kind of odometer rolling round: "X WEEKS WITHOUT A FIX". |

That's VERY unlikely.

Would you want them to rush out a fix without testing it properly this time?
I still don't understand why they haven't pulled the offending version from their servers though. |

Perhaps TomTom are worried if they make the x40 range work as it should no-one will upgrade to the 1000? _________________ Drivelux |
