Hopefully this should be fairly straightforward. I have just bought the above with no instructions on the configuration of the GPS with TomTom.
Can someone give me a definative answer at to which GPS and on which port I should configure the TomTom GPS Status program to get this working?
Many thanks

What Pocket PC do you have? Any external keyboard connected? _________________ Lutz

your spot on, I'vr just fixed it by removing the hp micro keyboard update thingy. Now it works fine and dandy.
Thank you very much for the reply though.

As suggested, I'm using the NMEA driver on com1 and still haven't successfully been connected.
It's been pretty cloudy over the fast few days. It's been suggested this could be the factor - is this true?
I've been trying over periods anything upto a couple of hours. Can I leave the GPS unit powered up but without the PDA on and it will still acquire a lock?
I've confirmed that I have no external keyboard driver loaded and the InfraRed is off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Maybe your Fortna receiver is set to another baud rate or even to SiRF. Leave the connector setting at COM1, and try the other speeds. _________________ Lutz

How long should I try each one for before trying another and do I have to reset the PDA or program each time? |

Simply set the speed, check the mark, and then switch over to the first tab and see if the black dots are running. If not, keep trying. If yes you are done and should see some grey and then red bars.
No need to reset in between. _________________ Lutz
