I wonder if it has the same 'challenges' as the x40 release...
I'll let you know in 10 minutes |

Works fine on the XL LIVE. No issues at all with the install procedure. Time to see what has changed. |

It is an upgrade from 9.053 so no major differences - although route calculation does seem a bit quicker |

A lot quicker, even while traffic was downloading. |

The worst issues are on the x40 where it is a major step from v8 to v9.
The x50s and the XL were both on v9 already.

Good to know the XL IQ Live regional still keeps its reputation. Now if it only had TTS.... _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Does anyone know if there is a Navtec update from 7.903 for the Tomtom Go700?
Map is at Western Europe v850.2782.
Still working well, but feeling left behind.........
Regards,
Simon. |

Nope, sorry.
v7.903 is current, and to be honest, I think that's your lot. |

Thanks for the speedy reply.
Unit is 5 years old, so I suppose I will continue until it breaks then buy a new one - which will also support POI alerts. |

Look after it - the performance is fairly similar to that of the latest devices - My GO550 is almost as fast as my 700. _________________ Dennis

It is possible to run newer OS's on the TT700 .. I'm running 9.051 with map 850-2781 (Western Europe) ... working very well.
However I believe that the how/why/where is not allowed to be discussed under forum rules ...
As I read the site a lot, even though I post little, and I subscribe to the speed cameras, I'll not elaborate and risk losing my membership ... |

I believe it was decided that discussion of putting other versions of software onto a device is OK to discuss as the software is distributed free of charge.
But the map version you are running sounds decidedly dodgy. |
