I am a happy Garmin 765T user! My father has asked me to recommend a Garmin for him. One of the things he wants is a powered dock like the one on the 765T. Do any of the current model range have this? They all seem to need the cable plugged into the USB port which seems a bit of a pain when you have the traffic receiver suckered to the windscreen as well.

I believe the new 3790t has a powered dock - with an additional speaker built in too _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

Indeed the 3790T does have a powered/ active mount with integral speaker, in use its very good. The power connection to the mount is via Mini USB but this remains in place with the device removed, there are no direct connections between the car power and the actual device - Mike
The 1690 has a powered mount too. If you want a sub £200 system the 1690 is for you but if you can find the extra £80 I would recommend the 3790 any day. _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80
