Since TTHome updated my navcore from 8.395 to 8.396 I can't run it in emulation (Operate my GO) mode any more. I know it's no biggie but come on TT!
"This function is not yet supported for your combination of navigation device, your device's application version and your computer's operating system"
TTHome GAVE me this update for Gods sake! |

Are you running with the TomTom Truck or Work maps or the standard maps, if its a standard map the Navcore you have installed is the wrong one - Mike |

What TT do you have?. I can't see either of the NavCores you mention on the TT NavCore website.

Most likely a pirate map with the NavCore altered to run on your unit...
I suspect TT Home has offered you a NavCore based on what is on your unit (software) but as the download is not indended for your unit (hardware) you are getting problems. |

In which case contact TomTom customer support on 0845 161 0009 and ask them why its not working, they probably haven't released the required file for the version of Navcore you are running - Mike |

Not too fussed anyway (& doubt very much if TT would/could help if their past history is anything to go by) but really just wondered if anyone else had seen this. |

I have a Go720, and when using the normal maps it works fine in emulator mode. However, I also have a (legitimate) version of TomTom Truck, using Navcore 8.396, and neither this nor the previous version of Navcore for TT Truck would allow emulator mode. I read somewhere that Truck uses a totally different method of communicating with a PC to enable some of its subscription services (which I do not have)
