See above - last Thursday I bought the 12 month subscription to Live Services. All my services now show valid until 19/7/2010. But ever since I paid, my HD Traffic hasn't worked. I know it hasn't been HD Traffic server problems because my XLLive alongside it had traffic service working all the time. _________________ Dennis

Dennis
Delete your username and password from the TT so that it logs in as anonymous and then doesn't offer you any services.
Then put your details in again and see what happens. |

That sounds cute, Andy (and somewhat more attractive than waiting the two working days promised by TT).
Now, if you can only gimme a hint as to how I delete myself from the thing??? Can't seem to find anywhere to do this - My Account simply requires me to log in. If I backspace out my email details, it just hangs. _________________ Dennis

Yes that's right. They did this after dropping the price. See gatorguy6996's post at Mon Jun 14, 2010 4:54 pm above...

I have the same. It'll probably sort itself out once the account ammendments are done. |

I'm still unsure whether to pay the £47.50 now, or wait to see what happens when my next monthly payment is due - I don't want to risk having a sudden loss of service, however I also don't want to pay them twice. |

According to gatorguy6996s post above your monthly payments will drop to €4.95, so my guess is they will continue to charge you monthly at that rate. Unless you contact them and arrange otherwise... |

Did you have to do anything, to get the extension? Looking at mine, my HD Traffic (the only one I'm really interested in) still expires in June 2011. If you remember from the LIVE renewal - cheapest option thread, I added a year on in May. I've got the Unknown Products, but they expire at the same time or in the past! _________________ Jock

I didn't get an extension. I suspect it'll be added automagically.
Mine still runs out in 10 days time (26 June 2010) but i have got the multiple "Unknown Product Name" items listed, some of which ran out in 25 May 2010. However i suspect this is due to the 1 month and 1 day compensation i received for outages and various other problems with the LIVE Services as 25 May 2010 would have been the day it expired had i not had those extensions. |

All my odd ones have disappeared this evening but no sign of any extension. _________________ Drivelux |

Just before you get to your email address bit it asks if you have a TT account - answer No and it removes all of your details.
Just checked on the XL LIVE and with Nav9 it doesn't remove your details!
Maybe enter a bogus email address and password so that it fails and then reenter your details?
Only other way round I can think of is the usual reset (power`button and software reset) as well as a couple of clear flashes for good measure. |

Fair play to Tomtom for that. A gesture I appreciate.
Has anyone checked the Live services on their unit to see if their dates have been extended? |

I've tried the dud email address, doesn't do anything (actually accepts it and changes my account registered email address. Going back and re-entering my proper address doesn't make any difference!!)
I also tried a Factory reset. Equally no result (fortunately I don't have a great deal in Mapsettings.cfg).
I have a suspicion I may have another dud unit - but it worked OK until I paid for the HD Services!
This had to happen two days before I go off on holiday taking it with me (Greece map on it)! I wonder what the chances are of TT sorting it out before I go - then I'll be out of the country for three weeks whilst they are answering me and telling me to format, download, clearflash, kiss my ******* and all that lot. And if I don't answer they'll close the "issue", "challenge", "question". _________________ Dennis

Just had a reply from TT - I can keep monthly payments - they will automatically go down to £3.99 next month, however if I cancel I wont be able to go back to monthly. As there is virtually no saving paying a year upfront I'm keeping to monthly. |
