Have just downloaded the latest SC database dated 26 May 2010. It will not load on to my system, when loading it just crashes my system. I have had ne previous problems downloading and installing updates. The problem appears to be with the SC database and not the mobile one. Has any one else had this proble?

Hi,
Same with me. I've had no problems for several months, but like you every time I try to upload, the progress bar stops after a few seconds and crashes.
Normally, I keep a copy of the previous download, but this time deleted it before installing the latest update

Hi,
I tried downloading the Other - CSV [ UK - Single file with all cameras] and copied the two csv files which is the way we used to have to do it before we had a specific download for Nissan Connect.
Tried it with couple of flash drives, but the same result.
Guess we'll just have to wait for the next download
Best wishes.

I am having the same problem, its very new to me but I followed it to the letter but it just crashes
Is the file to blame?
When will an update be up for download?
And how will I know?
Thanks |

I have had the same problem with the 02 Jun 10 download. I was trying to install both European and UK fixed and mobile data bases. By a process of elimination I discovered that it is the UK sc data base that caused the problem. Any ideas when the problem will be resolved? |

no idea as i don't know what is causing it. i don't have a nissan i can test with (can i borrow yours?)
i've already asked if someone can break the files down to see if there's a specific entry causing the issue but to no avail...!

there are 10,002 cameras in the current download (excluding the 1,234 pMobiles)
perhaps there is a 10,000 POI limit?
can you try installing a cut down version of the files? eg open in text editor or excel and remove a couple of hundred lines.
that might highlight if there is a POI limit on the system.
nothing else has changed in the data except for the number of cameras.
thing is, if no one is willing to try anything then there's not much else we can do. it's like taking a car to the garage saying "it doesn't work, can you fix it" but not giving the mechanic anything else to go off.

I'm certain that if one of the people with the problem indicates to MaFt that they will assist him to find the problem, by taking up his suggestions and reporting back the results, he will probably be able to fix it. He's good like that |

If it's any help, I only have the speed camera (including pMobile) and public toilet POI's installed and, as mentioned earlier had no problems.
The connect manual says you can add a maximum of 8MB of POI data.

yes, that does help! it means there's no issue with the data itself. can you perhaps all share your software/hardware versions etc to see if theirs any link in which versions are unable to use the database at the moment?
also, have you all tried different USB sticks? pretty certain i've read somewhere that the system can be quite selective.

I have had some success
I deleted al the POI I had put on before ( hospitals etc etc ) and then deleted the last line of the Excel file and whoo hoo it took the download
Although I think this Nissan Connect system is pretty poor it now beeps at me when a speed camera is close |

by 'the last line' do you mean the 'empty' line?

we don't put the copyright line in the Nissan Connect files as it causes an issue with installation....
