Shortly before people start posting on here that they have lost their favourites, POI warnings and map corrections as they did not back up their (mainly mapsettings.cfg) unit before upgrading. _________________ Drivelux |

Apart from the obvious full backup, IIRC the magic incantation to have the device remember things for you is to operate the device in Home, then allow the update, and then operate the device again before disconnecting. Am I right?
I think I'm on my last map update, and since I won't be paying for any more updates until they sort out the loss of settings issue (been over a year!) I want to make sure I get this one while I can. |

Nah, I know what you're getting at but 6:32 tonight. (The support line closes at 6:30).
As I had to check tomtom.com, note that... tomtom.com wrote: | Our support lines are closed on Monday, 24.05.2010 (Whit Monday). |
Would they really put out new maps on a holiday weekend (for them anyway). Don't answer that. _________________ Gerry

yeah but it take time to download and (fail) install so it'll be gone 6:30 before anyone starts calling. I can imagine a sign in the CC which says
"Will the last one to leave tonight please release the maps"
Someone will hit "go" and then run like hell.... |
