See some data that's incorrect in the Comparison Databases ?

The 5450 doesn't support CF type II or even CF type I. It does via a sleeve though.

Hello Dave et al,

Thank you very much for such an excellent site. The comparison feature and this forum for corrections are marvelous.

I'd like to point out the following:

1) The Haicom 204S, according to this website is WAAS/EGNOS enabled:

although I cannot find confirmation either way on the Haicom website. Your comparison suggests otherwise.

2) Unfortunately Haicom 204S and 204E are not listed on the excellent TTFF lists.

3) The TTFF lists suggest that the Leadtek 9532 has an impressive warm TTFF of 9s - significantly better than the competition. However the comparison gives it a more realistic warm TTFF of 39s. Which of these is correct?

There is a small mistake just in PocketPC specifications about the screen diagonal of the iPAQ 1930/5 (3.8 inch and must be 3.5)

According to the PDA Street Navigation and particularly with Maps can be copied directly to PDA (Map Data)

Sam,

1) I have a 204S in front of me with manual and no where in the manual or technical specification chart in the manual does it mention DGPS, WAAS or EGNOS so I can only at this stage presume it doesn't support it and we haven't received any confirmation from Haicom that it does support it. My gut feeling is it probably does as it's a SiRF chipset, but until we have more concrete evidence...

2) We're phasing out the TTFF lists, these will appear in the comparison charts going forward. The main reason why they don't appear in the TTFF list is that we haven't reviewed them yet.

3) Standard manufacturer specs on a SiRF chipset suggest a warm start to be around 39s, but in most cases the warm starts we perform can be a lot lower. Usually 9s is considered a hot ttff but when performing a warm reset these were the readings we were getting back. The main thing you should be looking at is the cold TTFF, as this is what will give you the longest wait.

I noticed in the comparison database that it is stated that the Haicom 204e is not supported on the Jornada 525 (Old I know!!), just to let you know that I am using this setup and it works very well.

Also I emailed HP regarding the Jornada serial port and they have stated that the jornada 52x series has the same serial port interface as the 54x series and the 56x series.

I would like to add that I did have to buy the connector cable!.

I really appreciate the Pocket PC navigation software comparison. However, I think that for "Large Button/ Finger Support (Usability)" it is incorrect to say that any of the programs using the native Pocket PC keyboard should get a checkmark for this. At least for me and others I know the stylus is required to type in an address with it. TomTom Navigator (which I otherwise *hate*) at least has true large keyboard buttons that can be typed with a finger. I just wish Copilot had this type of keypad...

My 2 cents.
