i.e. when roaming with no data you can update database at home on wifi etc then capture cameras and submit when back home. |
This is the big one for me, apart from that all seems good, just done a round trip PL-UK-PL and worked a treat. _________________ in the 128 |

That's a limitation of the iPhone and one of the reasons the Magellan and TomTom iPhone car kits have speakers built-in. _________________ Darren Griffin |

SOrry I will disagree and agree. I know its not the loudest speakerphone int he world ... but if I play music through inbuilt speaker or a call through it it is louder... |

I was going to ask for the voice to be quieter (or at least a setting to allow this).
My 3Gs is connected by a Kensington LiquidAux unit to the car's Aux In . When I am playing the iPod and running CamerAlert the warning voice is at least twice as loud as the music - which is alarming - but not in a nice way _________________ Phil |

Is it possible to have different levels of AutoZoom for different speeds. The current level is just fine for slow speed, town driving but on a motorway it would be nice for it to zoom out to show a bit of the surrrounding area. Say above 40 Mph? Or something a little more progressive? _________________ Phil |

right now we are showing a map that is 20 times wider/higher than the distance you cross in one second (ish). Are you sure you want to see, let's say, 40 times (ie 40 seconds ahead?) _________________ Lutz

When running in night mode, the arrows are blue on black, would be much better white or yellow arrows. _________________ in the 128 |

The danger is that you hear the warning (yeah, yeah, heard it a million times) and forget to check your speed. A continuous warning while over the speed limit not only makes you aware of your criminally excessive speed but also lets you know when you are safely within the limit. |

First of all well done to the team who developed this App. The App works well, and with my 3g rarely drops a signal to download the maps. Just some comments / questions from my first few long drives with it operational (along side a TT one with same version of the PGPSW cameras running).
- Like - Auto average speed start when entering a spec's zone. Does it record the average between the start and end camera or does it effectively start again when each spec's is passed?
- Want - Could the PGPSW logo be moved to another position? Tends to obscure upcoming details when the direction of travel points to the top of the screen.
- Want - Spec's tend to come in strings of the same speed. Would it be possible to, once the first spec's is specified i.e. 50mph, have larger buttons come up in the lower half of the screen which could be tapped as each spec's is passed. Or does it really matter where the middle cameras are placed, as they do tend to move. I can imagine that the confirmation of the middle cameras takes alot of time. Why not only worry about accurately positioning the start and end cameras? There is a speed warning at the middle top of the screen while in a spec's area, could even flash every 10 seconds to warn and/or even announce the speed limit?
- Want - As the map is in 2D, I notice that the first warning I get is not seeing the camera position appear on the road but the verbal and written warning. Would be good to see a bit further up the road. I notice that the TT running in 3D shows the cameras before the warning. I probably know the answer, but I'll ask anyway;-) - any chance of 3D maps? or even an ability to zoom out /in controlled by the user? This would be useful for motorway driving.
- Issue - Noticed that in night view sometimes the cameras showed in a gray scale other times full colour?
- Want - Would it be possible to log positions without the need for submitting? Submitted a few over the weekend but would like have the ability the review and submit when not driving.
Keep up the good work and again well done. |

For me the "number 1" want would be a reversible screen so that I can use the windscreen reflection of the iPhone as a sort of heads-up-display. It would be really useful for me as I have the phone on the dash instead of in a cradle. Of course I'm not sure how many others would like this and so whether it's worth the effort of coding it. |

at each camera as you will be prosecuted between any 2 cameras and not the entire stretch

where do you suggest? the logo is replaced with the speed icon when a camera is range

see above. the cameras measure your speed between 2 cameras so middle specs positions are as important as end and start. also, the idea is for the app to be 'hands free' and for the averaging to be handled automatically instead of having to press a button to reset the averaging.

not sure if this is possible, i highly doubt it though... you could always zoom out a bit more or reduce your warning time? go to settings and turn off auto-zoom then you can use the normal pinch/pull iphone gestures on the map to zoom.

greyscale (mobile and redlight) are pending cameras as opposed to fully confirmed ones.
