Seem to have cracked it at last
Found out that I had to name the folder as follows
MyPOIs / MyPOIWarnings( note the upper case M's and no spaces) This configures with the wording of MyPOIs on the Nissan Connect Screen. Then after loading the files plug in to your connect usb it will read usb found then press set up button then touch navigation then scroll down to load My POI Warnings and touch then it should load your files if it seems to be taking a long tine just turn the volume knob slightly just to give it a nudge it should then load which just takes a few seconds.
Hope this is of some use if you are having Problems.

Well done Baz...
So just to make it crystal clear, are you saying that:
1. at the top level of the USB stick you make a folder called - My POIs
and:
2. Inside that folder you make a sub-folder called - My POIWarnings
Is that right?

That knob -ing word censor again! You can't even say "knob"!
You should have said "volume tit" instead. That gets through! |

It's not necessary to use upper case 'M'' in MyPOIs nor in MyPOIWarnings, lower case 'm' work. I've uploaded two updates both of which uploaded fine.
My Nissan Quasqai bought in Jan 2010 had no Nissan Connect handbook with it, but and I've received one dated 2009, and it clearly states to use lower case 'm' for both folders.
All in all, I'm very disappointed with the GPS side of Nissan Connect. When it detects a camera, there's a faint bleep and information flashed on the screen for a few seconds to tell the user the type of camera they're approaching. No icons to show camera type, nor any speed warnings for say 30 mph and 60 mph zones.
My Garmin i3 Pilot now in my wife's car gives full information about cameras and speed and cost a lot less than £100. I understand Nissan Connect costs around £400 if not fitted as standard.
Great car, lousy Sat Nav system. Nissan, get your act together !!!
Jim
PS Will check the latest download later with my Text Editor and compare it to an earlier download an report back. |

The lower case 'm' is as described in Nissan's Connect manual. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Do these units have an information screen that might show the software / hardware version on these units? Wondering if the requirements change from build to build... |

Will check out tomorrow when it's light and report back.
Sorry for any delay, but I'm a disabled wheelchair user.

So it either needs spaces.......or it doesn't.
And it needs capital letters..... or it doesn't.
