|
|
As I eagerly await delivery of the MN4+BT+TMC to run with a HP2210 (currently in transitt with UPS) I am keen to understand whether any of the safety camera programs will work. So far the reference I have found seem to refer to Tom Tom not NM4.
Does anyone know of any that work, and if so what is the best to go for?
thanks |

When did you order it?
I ordered Navigator 4 about 2 months ago and have still not received it. I managed to get an ETA of around the end of the month (of July). |

Have you had any response to this Tetley202?

I've just downloaded, installed and run POI Warner, which has an updated version for MN4 Link Here
€29.90 for the full version or €9.90 for an upgrade from a previous version.
I then downloaded the speed camera database from here, used POIEdit to convert it from OV2 to ASC and saved it in the POI Warner directory, hey presto I'm warned!
POI Warner does have automatic syncing of lots of POIs, but importantly for me *NOT* UK speed cameras!
Hope this helps :D _________________ TomTom GO 910 |

Thank you for your help as I was struggling a bit to find a solution.
POI warner now installed and the default set to mph. On the simulated run past a 30mph site vehicle was simulated at 24 mph and was told to slow down as exceeeding the speed limit which alerted me to the ability on the poi file options screen to select mph as the warning.
a couple of dummy safety sites added on a nearby road and I now have confidence of being warned correctly. The sync facility took a bit of faffing around due to deciding what the 2 usernames were ! but I have to say now its in and syncs I am very impressed and thrilled with the nm4 package with poi warner. I am going to connect up the tmc aerial to the car aerial though as i lost tmc signal on last nights trip! |

Yes, I've had that problem a couple of times, so I need to also work out a solution for it... _________________ TomTom GO 910 |
