I have a Garmin 765T and recently it has started giving an alert for 19 mph at 30 mph cameras. Can anyone explain this please? |

Many thanks, thought I was going potty.
Strange though as I've always done it in mph. |

Absolutely right. When I checked, the POI Loader had been changed to kph. Not sure how that happened though it was a new download onto a new laptop so I probably didn't set it up right in the first place.
Many thanks. |

the default is KPH (presumably as there are more metric countries than imperial ones) so if it was a fresh install then that would be the reason! once changed to mph though it will stay the same!

Thanks. Done that now and will test it next time I go out. Sure it will be OK now though.
Thank God for forums like this one. |

it took 1hr 8min (quite slow for us...) - i wonder how long it would have taken for a support request from garmin and if the answer would have been as accurate?!

Easy!!!
Garmin response: "Your problem can usually be cured with a complete reset, to do this, hold your finger..........."
Seems to be garmin's response to everything ![Laughing Out Loud](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif) |
