I have always used a Garmin Satnav for the bike, a 2610 which was excellent now a Zumo 550.
Garmin seem to be more popular the TomTom for motorbikes, they are robust and Garmin After Sales Service is excellent, I have used it in past, they are also very helpfull if you have a problem.
The 550 is very robust, easy to use, has a good screen and easy to customise, I like it, the 660 offers a few more features but at the moment not enough to upgrade.
Also if you buy a new one, for a one off fee you can get map upgrades free for the life on the machine, downloadable, Amazon sells the upgrade cards cheaper than Garmin, so you can always have the latest maps, whcih if you keep it for 4 years works to to just over £20 a year.
In conclusion, a purpose made Bike Satnav is better that a car make do.
This would fit your requirements as it has all you are wanting.
There are bargins about if you look, ebay and google. |
