No surprise there!
According to http://www.tomtom.com/6141 the only Navcore released for the XL LIVE is 8.413 which they ship with.
The 8.417 and 8.419 updates seem to have slipped through the net even though they were some months ago ...........
Has anyone been brave enough yet to give it a try? |

9.026 on a 940 has fixed the speed camera icons being converted as if they were from kph to mph. It also appears to have made the screen less touch sensitive, so it does act as if you have made several touches at the same time. It is still keen to disable live services if contact is lost with the server. _________________ Drivelux |

I am not sure if this only happens on a 940 with this version of software, but the battery flattens in around 24 hours if not left on the charger as it appears that the device does not fully turn off. Reverting to V8 and this does not happen. _________________ Drivelux |

Navcore 9 hasn't been released for the 940 so if you are running x50 Navcore on your 940 you can expect cetain things not to work correctly - Mike |

And I hope you didn't upgrade the bootloader - no way back! |

You can revert to an earlier bootloader by editing the version number in the earllier bootloader to 0.001 above the current bootloader then it will install over the later bootloader thus reverting to the earlier bootloader but showing the edited version number. _________________ Drivelux |

Whilst it is possible load up older boot loaders by incrementing the version number this is something you would then have to do with every subsequent software release, its much easier to avoid the boot loader clocking in the first place when messing with different Navcores - Mike |

No, the editing is done in the "system" file where the version number is changed. This needs to be done with care as an error in the system file could brick the device. If anyone needs to work this out they can research it on the web but this is getting too close to other hacking which I believe to be outside the scope of this forum. _________________ Drivelux |
