|
|
I use the RAW gpx file, that gets created along with the .map file every time a trail is converted to a track, to geotag photos using Geotagalog on my Mac. Until recently this worked perfectly, but after re-installing the platform upgrade (09.0221) and latest firmware (1.4.5471.0) the RAW gpx files are now identified by geotagalog as "corrupted"
After opening the gpx file in TextEdit (Mac equivalent of Wordpad), it seems that there is a {trkseg} tag missing from near the beginning of the file. If I add it manually and save the file, geotagalog uses it with no problems.
Has anyone else experienced this? What's puzzling me is that I had the same platform and firmware versions running before this re-install (which became necessary after a problem with the basemaps on my unit), and I wasn't getting this error then. |

I use the generally available software V1.4 with platform 09.02.21. I've just looked at the last conversion and there is no problem with the "trkseg". It must be related to the beta software you have access to. |

That's useful info jonesbach, thanks. Although I was running the general release version of v1.4 when I came across this problem, it was the version of 1.4 that was installed by my platform upgrade SD card. I went back and re-installed just the software (i.e. not the platform) from a downloaded .exe version of v1.4 and the problem has disappeared. Weird! |
