|
|
I have purchased a map of New Zealand, downloaded directly to my 930T. Although their is a New Zealand folder visible when I look at the files in Windows Explorer, when I go to "Change Maps" on my TomTom, I still only get the choice of Western Europe or North America.
Is there a solution please?
Thanks |

Use Windows Explorer to have a look in your New Zealand map folder is there a file named "New_Zealand.meta.dct" the actual name might be slightly different but can you find a file with the .meta.dct double file extension in the map folder? - Mike |

As a guess, there probably wasn't enough room on the device to install the map.
Did HOME give you any errors?
Are you installing to the internal memory or to a memory card?
First step would be to take a full Windows Explorer backup (see FAQ).
Check in HOME that your new map has downloaded OK - with your TT connected go to Add Traffic Voices etc, Items on My Computer and have a look at what maps are listed. Hopefully your new map is listed so can be reinstalled from HOME after removing a map to make enough space. |

Thanks for the replies.
The download was good, plenty of space. There is a New_Zealand.meta.dct file.
After a chat to TomTom help, they said that my operating system was too old for the new map (I kept an old system to give me the FM transmitter function), I installed a new operating system. The map is now recognised.
So what I need now is the silent mp3 file so that I can use the FM transmitter.
Can someone point me to the file please?
Thanks again. |
