|
|
I have tried several times to install the csv files into my system via the usb
storage drive as instructed but my system does not download.
I have tried 3 different storage drives and get the same result.
I have made sure i downloaded exactly as instructed and named files correctly.
I went onto another site and downloaded csv files and they loaded first time i can only think there is a problem with your download and that is why my system does'nt import the files.
PLEASE HELP |

Welcome to the forum, Chopps.
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with your device, so can't offer much help, but can you confirm that you've downloaded the Other - CSV, Single File database, and followed the installation guide here.
You say "my system does not download". Could you explain exactly what happens, and what messages you get, if any. _________________ Anita

Hi Anita
My device is a built in car nissan connect system.
I have downloaded the other CSV single file database several times and labelled files correctly i have tried other peoples sollutions on forems but none work.
When i place my USB stick into the device it says "USB memory device inserted please wait" then nothing happens. Please can you advise me what the problem might be.
Its as if the files are not able to be read by by the system.
Thanks for trying to help me i hope you find the answer.

There is nothing wrong with the files so there must be something wrong with what you are doing?
Can you reply with what folders you have on your memory stick and what files are in each folder? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren
I downloaded files and saved the csv camera location file and the other which is an image of a speed camera.
These i have labelled as instructed but they will not load into my system.
When i transfer from my laptop to memory stick i get a message saying "do you want to transfer this file without its properties" I wonder if this is something to do with it? |

What are the names of the folders on your memory stick? Please post them here exactly as they appear.
It is vital that they are named as follows:
x:\myPOIs\myPOIWarnings
Where 'x' is the drive letter of your memory stick. So you have a folder named myPOIs at the top level and inside that another folder name myPOIwarnings and then inside that folder you need the pocketgps_uk_sc.csv file. _________________ Darren Griffin |

That message shouldn't affect things. It usually appears when transfering data from an NTFS partition to a non-NTFS partition (i.e. FAT32) but shouldn't affect the files.
Have you tried formatting the USB drive and trying again?
Do you know what file system you are using on the USB drive?
Have you tried a different USB drive? |

I have the same problem with getting the POI's onto Nissan Connect.
I definetly have the correct syntax for the folder.
When I press My POI it says "Connected Device has no POI Data" (or similar). However it says exactly the same if no USB stick is connected at all!!
I have tried 2 USB sticks just in case.
I am begining to suspect a faulty Connect unit or at least software. I am leaning toward software as I have noticed a "Download User POI" button on map setup screen just above "Remove User POI". This download doesn't do anything when pressed.
The download button isn't mentioned in the user manual.
Anyone else seen anything similar?
btw this is on 95 plate Note.
Cheers
