Hi Vicky,
I’ve just rung CPW and they said that the Navman GPS has been removed from their system and that there are no more units in stock.
I rang the 0808 100 9250 telephone number. Could you let us know if that’s the telephone number that you used and whom you spoke to as there appears to be some disinformation here.
Good news on the Credit Card side on things, I rang my credit card company earlier today and CPW have not charged my card – yet.

Hi
I rang 0800 424800, but they transfered me to Internet Sales, and the guy I spoke to was very helpful, said sorry it must have been a retun unit, and areranged for it to be be collected tomorrow and a replacement to be delivered at the same time
When he said this I said I understood they were now sold out so how could they replace it with a new sealed one, He told me to hold, came back and said he had checked the stock and confirmed there were plenty available and arranged a No Charge Before 12 delivery so I did not have to wait in all day.
I still think they have just pulled them from sale as they are too cheap, and that they have not sold out,!
Regards

Thanks for the 0800 424800 number. They answered immediately but put me on hold for a few minutes whilst they “checked for availability” of any remaining stock – but declared that they had sold out.
I think that you're right! It's strange that they can replace a "faulty" unit so easily and yet have no more units for new buyers.
Never mind. I hope that your unit works well and that you make a good profit on the ones that you sell.

Hi Robert,
Sorry you had no luck with them,
I think they may well appear on the site again in a few weeks at a new price! (I Guess around £149.99)
I have just installed one of the units with my XDA2, don't really rate the software compared to TomTom or Medion Navigator, but for the price, can't complain!
Regards

I am sorry that we were not able to process your order for you on this occasion.
Where items are displayed online, they are not offers by us to sell the goods at that price but are known as “invitation to treat”. In law, they are not offers capable of acceptance by the customer. Rather, it is the customer who makes the offer to us to buy the item in question, which we may then accept or decline.
As I am unable to investigate the stock levels at time your order request was received, I am unable to confirm if there was stock available when we tried to process your oder.
As a consequence of this, we are not obliged to sell any goods to a customer (even where they are displayed) and can therefore refuse any sale in our absolute discretion.
Please accept my apologies for any inconveniences caused.
If you need any more help, please reply back to customer-care@cpw.co.uk or call our Customer Care team on 0870 168 0870. _________________ Ian.

2 CDs is correct, as they were advertised as shipping with V1.96 software. I suspect that Alix's was a faulty returned later one, shipeed with V2 software (4 CDs) _________________ Tim |

mine has also arrived, brand new and works a treat with tomtom3 in fact i would go as far as to say better than the tomtom BT which i had loads of problems with my 5450 and a BT registry pop up, no such problems with this baby, its been in my glove box most of the time picking up 8,9 and even 12 satellites well in pressed for £50 one other thing will i damage the unit by leaving it connected to the 12v cigy lighter permanently?

How on earth can this be classed as "first come first served" |
I phoned CPW on Monday and eventually got through to a manager. After expressing my greivances about the whole situation with the order prioritys, she managed to hunt down a Navman 4400, which I have received and set-up Today.
The software IMHO is totally cr*p compared to TT3, but the GPS receiver seems pretty good, about the same sensitivity as my clip-on in ST mode. |
