Hello linknet,

is it possible to increase the size of the street name signs? They are very small on my VGA display.

Best regards
TheGrumbler

I think it might be possible but it would be a sys.txt entry and not something that can be altered from within a skin.

linknet

Thanks for your answer linknet.

And I now found the solution which might be also useful for others. As you already mentioned it's a sys.txt entry:

[3d_config]
roadsign_lines_per_screen=18

Works perfect for me.

Higher values = font becomes smaller in size
Lower values = font becomes bigger in size

Hi Linknet,

I used your skin in my old device, but my new one has a resolution of 234*480 so i cannot use it. Is it possible to apply the color night filter to default skin? The screen I have does not have dimming operation.

Thanks

Yes, but you'd have to include the modification yourself.

linknet

That is the good side, the bad side is I have no idea how to do it. What I have to add and where?

If it is not troublesome please give some instructions

thanks

All I can say is that you need to create a skin for your resolution and then search the Ultra Skin for ";!MOD_MNF - Map Night Filter" entries and include these in your skin.
A set of instructions would take far too long I'm afraid.

You can get the Skin from Linknet's download site. There's one for iGO8 and another for Amigo. Rapidshare doesn't come into it.

Oh, I see what you mean, it's been a while since I got the download and forgot about Rapidshare. Embarassed

However, it does say

Quote:
'There are no more download slots available for free users right now. If you don't want to become a premium member, you might want to try again later'.

Maybe you could try later and be more successful or PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy of 6.0.22. Copy it to iGO8/Content/Skin folder.

(I'm sure Linknet won't mind as it's freely available).

If you read a bit further down you'll see it says try again later.

Exactly, sometimes RapidShare becomes congested, so just try again later. You will always eventually get a free slot.

You should now have 7 modified ui files:

model_variables.ui
navigatemap.ui
navigatemap_320_240.ui
setting.ui
setting_320_240.ui
start.ui
start_320_240.ui

(replace 320_240 in the above with your resolution)

The code for the filter button (or checkbox) is in navigatemap_320_240.ui.
