Since this morning there have been no incidents reported in the whole country on my new 950. It's worked fine until today. Is it possible that the server is down and if so is there a way of reporting this?

Try resetting the device by pressing and holding the on/ off button until the device reboots, my 950 is receiving HD Traffic as I just switched it on to check so the fault isn't the server - Mike |

Just a stab in the dark but ....
1. Did you buy it a month ago?
2. Have you renewed the LIVE services? _________________ Mike

No problems with HD Traffic for me today.
Does it show your SIM card as connected?
Have you got the blue traffic bar down the side or is it grey?
If you look at My Services when is the expiry date for your HD Traffic? |

The bar is blue but when i turned it on just now a yellow triangle has appeared halfway down the bar with a "no information" entry. When now connected to home the 950 will not update and a box telling me "no information received. Report to tomtom" has appeared. The 950 was purchased a month ago but i have bought 12 months extra services. _________________ Flinx |

Have you entered the username and password for the account you used to purchase the subscription into the Go? It is under Menu -Change Preferences, Preferences Page 7 of 9, My TomTom account. _________________ Drivelux |

I travelled from London to Derbyshire and back yesterday.
On the route up (at about 2pm to 4pm) HD Traffic was fine, but on the way back between 9pm and 11:30pm there were no Live Services at all - no Traffic, no Weather reports, nothing. |

I think I may have found the problem. I bought a years live services card and installed it last week. It was working correctly. Then a few days later, when updating the Go950 I may have installed a Software update. Since then the traffic has no longer worked. Also when i checked the tomtom site the traffic subscription is no longer there. I am now about to contact TomTom support.
Thanks for the help _________________ Flinx |

The software update will not have lost you your live services, they are stored on TomToms servers against you device code, account username and password, your device sends this information for verification on the TomTom servers when it requests data. The device code is built into your device and you choose the username and password when you first connect your device via Home. _________________ Drivelux |

Well, I raised a ticket with TomTom support on Tuesday who got back to me promptly with a suggestion about the size of tmccodes.dat, but this didn't work. Then at 10:30 today (Thursday) it started to download traffic incidents again. Who knows what's going on!
Going to leave the ticket open a few more days in case problem reoccurs.
Thanks for the help. _________________ Flinx |
