Yes, yes, I know, you're all sick of hearing about updates to iPhone and Android Apps but at the moment that's where the majority of development seems to be taking place! So, to keep up with current trends here's another iPhone Navigation announcement...:
Navigon have today announced that the next update to their MobileNavigator for iPhone has been submitted to Apple for approval so should be with us in a couple of weeks. This update boasts 13 new features - read on to see what has been added!
Navigon's official statement on their Facebook page (and Twitter account) states the following:
Good news for all iPhone fans: Today we submitted the update 1.4.0 for our MobileNavigator software to Apple! Soon you can enjoy 13 brand new features like navigation for pedestrians, a simple search via Google Local Search and the possibility to enter geographical coordinates.
The screenshots show DMS style coordinate entry but I do hope they included the ability to input using other formats too! We'll see once it's available!

More seriously, Kar28, is it a problem we could help with? Most of us Navigon users haven't found them all that bad, compared to other makes. But no they are not perfect! Or maybe your problem is actually with the retailer? _________________ David

No, my problem is with the company, and their product, which I had gotten to upgrade from my tiny old TomTom One. Bigger screen and lifetime traffic being the deciding factors. Bought it, took it on a test drive and it gave me simply insane directions that would have taken me many miles out of the way. Fine, I thought, let's see if there's an upgrade. Yes, there was. Registered my unit at their website, downloaded the freshmaps app and the update, ran it, and ever since then it doesn't show anything but the splash screen.
Inquiries to customer support remain unanswered.
1, stupid and simply wrong directions
2, anemic POI data base
3, wonky TTS (Mapleshade Dr pronounced as "Map LeShade Drive" for instance.)
4, unit dead after installing official upgrade
5, no customer support
