OK so I will be fairly vague because I don't want them to fix their mistake!
Before the x40 Live range was released, I was a beta tester and given a unit. at the end of the trials, we were given 6 months free LIVE, which ran out in June 09.
After June I didn't bother buying it, and even missed the 1 months free a couple of months back.
However, yesterday I noticed I suddenly had HD Traffic again. I checked the my services tab, and I seem to have been given a sub until September 2010!!!
Anyone else seen this or have any info on whether they will fix it, or if its just a nice present? |

Looks like a mistake on their part so I wouldn't draw to much attention to it. Can't see them taking it off you now though.
Sadly HDTraffic is so unreliable I've turned it off as it causes more trouble than its worth. Speedcams similarly rubbish so that leaves live search, fuel, weather and buddies. All Ok but none would justify the sub.
Still if it's free eh ......... _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks for the replies guys.
Clearly I'm not gonna be shouting at TomTom too loudly.
However its interesting you comment both here (and in many other threads) about the hd traffic problems.
If i use the latest, and proper, navcore for my unit, it updates constantly?
I'm not saying its 100% accurate but many people are saying it doesn't update after first check.
I was up near Cumbria at the weekend and as you can imagine the situation was changing constantly, and I felt the HD Traffic system did a pretty good job considering.
Anyway back to the topic, is it normal to have multiple Live services subscriptions visible? I have a right random selection of different dates... but I've never actually bought a sub! |

It was in the early days I find it very accurate nowadays. |

I would expect it to update at the weekends - mine does.
The issue is rush hour - my device at the weekend never got above 100 total incidents and seems to update fine.
In rush hour I get 500-800 incidents and then it doesn't update unless you reboot.
If you are in the South reports of 1500 incidents at rush hour are not uncommon.
Either the device, Vodafone GPRS Network or TTs servers can't cope with the number of devices connecting and requesting updates and the number of incidents at peak periods. |

Ahh - thanks for the clarification Andy.
I only tend to use it at the weekend. |
