Welcome to the forum, firstly do you have a memory card fitted to the device? if so its possible the POI files have been loaded to the wrong map folder.
If not have you tried Navigate/ To POI and select the arrow lower right to display more categories, do the missing categories get listed if you do this?
Finally how many POI categories are you trying to install as there is a limit but its currently over 200 and each category can contain thousands of individual locations - Mike |

I select mem card before I do the poi copy /paste.
When I scroll through all the poi on the satnav I see nothing of the ones I have pasted into the folder.
the ones downloaded from tomtom are there
at pressent I have 162 poi catigories is this too many then
trouble is if I delete some and it dosnt fix it Ive lost them as well, thats my fear at the moment

Then you've done something wrong, either they are in the wrong folder or you have too many.

Don't delete them, MOVE them from your TomTom to the desktop or a folder on your PC. Then you can replace them on the TomTom later.
If you browse to the Western Europe Map folder on your device, do you see our POIs AND the ones installed using TT HOME? There will be at least two files for each POI, the icon file and the data file i.e. TESCO.bmp & TESCO.ov2.
If you see the TT Home POIs and ours then we know we have the correct folder and the issue lies elsewhere. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have had a eureka moment.
after your responces Mike and Darren I have discovered that western europe map was removed from my internal mem. By my son I might add!I downloaded the back up from my computer to internal mem but initialy it did not load. I repeated the exercise with the sd card removed ( external mem) and eureker! success. MANY MANY thanks for your time and help in this matter.
I have poi with speed camera`s now admittedly from another site on my satnav. As it seems that I can download from pocket gps by copy /paste from a zip in the same manner easily and the suppoort I can get I shall subscribe for the speed camera downloads asap.
many friends have seen my camera downloads and want the same, so I will show them this sit so they also get great support.

Well done Kelvin, there is nothing like the sense of satisfaction you get when you solve a problem and now you know that it is a relatively simple procedure you'll find install of our speedcam data easy. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Totaly agree about the satifafction. hope people see this post and are encouraged to subscribe to pocket gps to get all the benifits as I have learned. Already downloaded the exellent poi section of the site. Now to get the benifits of the speed cams.
Off to France for the weekend soon so this site is of great use to me, I know I will be able to get some genuine support when needed, once again many thanks
