|
|
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Recently I have found that during peak times (16:30-18:00 apx) my HD traffic does not refresh. I''ve tried running it all day day on map view and it will frequently update without incident. when around 16:00 strikes, the information appears to just stick and never update. After I switch the device off then back on it appears to refresh accurately. After leaving it on for a short period of time after that, the information appears to simply stick again and not update until I switch off the device then back on. Come around 19:00 all appears to be fine again. I've noticed this over the last few weeks.
Access/use of the other live features are all working fine during these times. _________________ Graeme Bennett

See this thread and this one and even this one.
There seems to be many problems with the HD traffic service at peak times. For me it is on the Northern part of the M25.
I am beginning to think that HD Traffic stands for Half Deployed Traffic or Half Day Traffic.
I go the extra 22p (one free day) offer for the server outage today. _________________ Drivelux |

Thanks for the reply.
I find the quality of information poor on the HD platform too at times. A section of the A9 southbound between Inverness and Perth was closed for several hours last night after a fatal acident and there was no mention of this at all on my 540.
My 730 with RDS-TMC was reporting it accuratly enough however.
Having browsed around Europe on the online TomTom route planner I find some countries have vastly more informative information that i've ever seen in the UK.
I sometimes get the impression TomTom deliberatly restrain parts of the HD service capabilities in the UK to secure future "New and Improved" HD traffic sales for whenever HD Traffic 2 or whatever it's likely to be called appears. _________________ Graeme Bennett

This is still happening - even at 7.45pm!!
Has anyone reported this to TomTom? If so, have they said what the problem is? Presumably someone needs to get off their backside and order a bigger server?! Is it that simple, or am I missing something? _________________ TomTom Go 740 LIVE and iOPlay bluetooth hands-free car kit |
