|
I don't know if this can be done -- But when I use my old TT Classic [great still working] the moment I turn on the ignition and the lighter socket is live the Classic is switched on.. to me that is practical.. as it is all revved up by the time you are ready to go..
Now -- with the 740 Live [another great bit of kit] this don't happen and you have to press and hold the button to turn it on.. and rev up.
Now have I missed something in the set up of the 740L -- it automatically shuts down - counting down 10 seconds - to switch OFF.
Just wondered if it is programmable -- like the Classic

Nope, afraid not. That feature disappeared in v7 software I think.
TomTom never explained why, even though loads of people requested it's return (even as an option). |

and they should bring it back as it was useful if you stopped for fuel etc on route - saves wear and tear on the power button |

I thought it disappeared with the x20 ranges - after all the issues with the x10 mount _________________ J. |

It seems logical that it disappeared with the X20 versions, as they do not seem to have the interactive connections found on the earlier devices.
The car charger lead for my 520 does not have the connection pins of the base mount.
Having said that it should still be possible for the software/hardware to detect an adequate voltage input and turn the device on. |

It would seem after all this time that the "Auto -On" is back
-- I am using the 750Live with App. 9.061.576030 and it now automatically turns on.!!
Don't do it on the wifes Tom -- 740Live
Anyone else noticed this??

My TT Go 730 doesn't have auto on and that would be particularly useful for me. |
