An email newly received from TomTom advises me to plan my route more effectively in advance -- a brilliant idea, seeing as how I have hitherto planned all my routes after travelling them.
The purpose of the email is to direct my attention to the TomTom Online Route Planner, the best way to plan your trip online, a facility which uses actual map updates to calculate the smartest route, enabling you to plan ahead effectively.
A graphic at the top of the email testifies to the remarkable usefulness of the route planner.
It shows the eastern section of the London road map from Holborn to just beyond Tower Bridge, and highlights a TomTom recommended route which, in this instance, takes in Fenchruch Street.
I would never have thought of using Fenchruch Street.
In fact, had it not been for TomTom Online Route Planner's daily map updates, I would probably have remained in complete ignorance of the very existence of Fenchruch Street.
Hats off, then, to TomTom and its route planning service: streets ahead of anything else! |

Did you purposely screw up the naming of this thread or is something weird going on? _________________ David |

I have no idea what MotMot is but clearly it isn't working as the result is jibberish! _________________ Darren Griffin |

I think it's supposed to be a sarcastic reference to TomTom calling Fenchurch Street Fenchruch Street.
It was so small an error that it completely passed me by and left me thinking the OP was either dyslexic or strange _________________ Darren Griffin |

Nah!! I spotted it immediately. I think it was him claiming to be a Grauniad reader that gave me a clue.
PS Congratulations pash09 on winding up so many - when I first read it, it was very early on before any replies and I didn't reply because I was unable to think of anything remotely matching your wit. This deserved to go out on 1st April. _________________ Dennis
