|
|
I have used navigator almost since it first came out and emailed support to ask about updated maps for my Nav5 a month back.
They replied saying nothing more than "we don't supply up to date maps for Nav5" Not very helpfull!
I replied asking what I can do to sort out my problem and they came back saying that they only supply up to date maps for Nav 6 and 7.
OK I thought .. I'd better upgrade. As Nav7 won't work on my Ipaq I bought a second hand copy of Nav6 and contacted them again asking about updating the maps.
They had the cheek to come back (after I'd spent the money on Nav6) saying that I can buy the "latest" maps but they are now 2.5 years out of date!!!
I asked them why they couldn't have told me this when they suggested getting Nav6 and told them that as it was their fault that I had wasted money on Nav6 they should at the very least supply the latest (out of date) version free of charge to go some way to making up for having caused me to waste money.
Needless to say they declined.
Result = They have lost another customer and I will do my best to let everyone who's interested know just how bad they are.
Not impressed!! |

Can anyone suggest what software I can go for next (other than Tomtom obviously) as it would be really nice to have reasonably up to date maps.
I'm using an Ipaq 4150 running windows ce 4.20
Thanks in advance |

If you reaally want to stick with TomTom is to go the Pirate route and run ttn7 with ttn8 maps, which seems that TomTom encourage by their action, whether it will work on your unit i cannot answer because not familiar with it , but cannot offer any more help. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

Mcguider seems to be the closest to tomtom funcuality, but most companies seem to be following the latest O.S.s so suggest you look at the various manufactures compatability charts. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

A Little Bit OTT MaFt, I am not advocating but merely pointing out the only option along with the other options, and if you notice I am not pointing the way or is the mere mention of piracy now taboo with threats of a ban _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

ad⋅vo⋅cate
–verb (used with object)
1. to speak or write in favor of; support or urge by argument; recommend publicly
giving hints as to how it can be done is advocation in my eyes. let's leave it at that.
