Remove account from 540?

Hi,

I have 540 that I wish to sell. Before I do I'd like to remove the details of my TomTom account (username & password) from the device.

How can I do this?

Does 'restore to factory defaults' clean out the information?

I haven't tried ;)

I have various POIs installed and updated maps that the friend who'se buying it would like to keep, will these be lost?

Factory defaults wipes out custom settings, not the map.

Restore to factory defaults is the option you need, it will do what you want without removing your custom POI files, it will wipe your username/ password and any POI settings but thats all - Mike

If it's of any interest, I did a list of everything I could find that a "Return to Factory Settings" *does* and *doesn't* do....

According to that list, it does delete the "User name and password for the Plus services " Smile
