I'm finding this version so slow as to be unusable (as was the Beta version before it).
Even just loading it up and clicking on the top menus, sometimes it takes over ten seconds to switch to the next menu.
On the Beta, if I selected "Update my Go" or "Items on my Computer" it showed an empty "loading" progress bar - no animation - and sat there for so long before anything was displayed, you couldn't tell if it had crashed or not.
Often, it *had* crashed!
Now with the new version, it's clogging up my PC in a fairly major way
I loaded it up and it froze for over a minute when I clicked on the "Help" menu to get the version number.
TomTomHOMERuntime.exe was taking 96% of the PC's resources.
After ten minutes it seems to have settled down and is responding better, but I think it is going to be the same every time I open it. |

The only problem i've had with the last 2 versions (this and the previous BETA) is the auto start entry keeps disapearing.... |

I can only agree - this version looks pretty but is painfully slow!!!
If you have the old version, don't upgrade yet... wait for the bugs to be fixed. On that note, anyone know where one can get hold of the last 2.6 release?? _________________ Martin...

Thanks dhn and Andy_P both for the link to home 2.6. I have gone back to it.
Had installed this 2.7 beta to my Go 720 but did not particularly note slowness. However, one thing that I was concerned with was that it was updating/adding new stuff to both SD card and Internal Memory, EVEN THOUGH I chose SD card ONLY.
best

No. It works ok for me. It got stuck when it started up immediately after installing but I have had no further problems after rebooting the PC. _________________ Paul |

Very slow for me too - even after reboot. Am going to degrade back as frankly, it's unusable :-( |
