The poi.gpi file is just the Custom POIs you downloaded and installed yourself. It doesn't normally exist on any Garmin device out of the factory.
Can you not just re-download the files and recreate the poi.gpi file with POILoader? |

OK you'll need to provide more info.

Why not? What happens when you try? Error messages etc

At the minute I'm assuming this is the x:\garmin\poi folder? If so, just create it. If not, what is the exact path of the folder?

As far as I'm aware the preset POIs are part of the map data and are not deletable.
My old i3 backup shows just the following files.
In the root folder is a folder called Garmin which contains 2 files
gmapsupp.img (Map file)
gmapsupp.unl (Unlock File)
then a folder called poi which contains nothing as it's there for the Custom POIs you add only.
then a folder called voice which contains various voice files.
How does this compare to your unit? |

So what DO you have on the unit?
Apart from the POIs does it work normally? |

So what files DO you have on the unit?
Did you try making the POI Folder as i suggested above?
What do you see if you try to Navigate to a POI? You'll need to list the exact steps you take and what happens as i don't have my i3 any more....
Can you also answer this question from earlier?

In the POI folder on your PC that you specify to POILoader to look in for your POIs that you want downloading to your unit: Are your POI files there and do they have actual POI data in them?
Or is this one of the files that you deleted/cleared?[/u] _________________ David
