Hi
I have to look after 2 tom tom's one LX and newer LX IQ. I have registered them with different emails etc.
Are there any pit falls, will the TT Home get confused which is which?
Must be there who have more than one TT, what do you do?

You've answered the main stumbling block yourself. You have to register them with different email addresses.
The only other thing I would say is not to connect them at the same time for updates etc - it could confuse you more than Home as to which you are updating. It is possible to connect them at the same time though. _________________ Gerry

Although it goes against the grain to say it, I have to admit I think that's one thing Home is actually quite good at now!
I regularly connect three TomToms at the same time, one of them via a card reader, with no problems at all (and I probably only do it out of a sense of devilment, just to SEE if it falls over! ).
Home now always gives me a pop-up window asking if I want to switch to the new machine as soon as I connect them, and the "switch device menu presents a similar screen if I want to change it once they are all connected.
It also automatically logs onto the correct email address/login as soon as I switch machine, and the NAME of the currently selected unit appears in the bottom left, next to the "eject" button.
If I eject one machine, Home brings up the selection window again, asking which of the remaining ones I want to go to next. |
