Hi!!
I´m testing the code 54CZ4237 and it´s working...but only for customers of UK!!!!!
Not working at spanish, international or german shops!!
(Maybe a Navigon´s compensation for the difference between euro and pound?)
Does anyone know of any code that works in spanish or in the international shop?
Thanks |

There also seems to be a general 8110-upgrade code available for the non-UK , €, shops, which might be of use to some. Its (Glad you got sorted chiposeti ) _________________ David

I did have to do what jonandmarkuk suggested a long time ago and put the POI-W 'Updateme' file from the PC (on mine it's in "Program Files/POI-Warner MN7 Edition/Installation") back into the MAIN Navigon folder on the unit's card - it seems to get deleted nearly every time you do an update. |
NICE TRICK BOYS!!! Now all my poi warner data is back!!!! :P |

I bought it through the German site, as I bought the original 8110 there, without any issues so far. Haven't had a run yet, but all has loaded successfully, and menus, and POI-Warner user-POI data, seem fine.
Assuming all the 8110s were to the same specification, the software would surely be the same whichever shop it was marketed through?
However you would want to check what charges you would get on your credit card if you pay €s, to make sure it was worth it.
But as there seem to be codes here for both UK and non-UK shops, there now seems to be a pretty free choice. _________________ David

Don't forget the upgrade discount offer runs out today (29th).
Having used the new software a little in Birmingham at the weekend for walking round the city I have found the following;
1. Sat fixes seem much quicker
2. 3D Buildings do help with navigation around a city
3. Software seems a little slower to respond than the 8110 software (i.e. unit can be switched on for a while before the PIN screen appears). Could however be the slower SD card I have in (would need to test a faster card).
4. Driving - Have found that A roads information often also include 'in the direction of' information now. i.e. follow the A** in the direction of ....
5. Road Signs. School warning signs and other important signs posted on screen where the speed warning appears. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

Thanks for the information about the new software. Given the time constraints, I think I will go for it.
Regarding the speed of the unit: I know that you did not use it while driving, but do you think navigation informaiotn and screen refresh is slower? |

I used it a little for driving and the funny thing is the actual driving screens seem to work fine (not that I look that often) the slowness seems to be in the menus (but if it's calculating 3 routes at once that could be it). _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |
