Hi All
I've ordered my kit but want to try and avoid any problems with the BT when I get it. I've heard its important to have a fast card for the maps so I just wondered if anyone with this setup who doesn't have any problems and doesn't have to turn off the POIs to get it to work could post up what make of SD card you have?
Incidently, how can you tell what speed a card is, most sites that sell them don't mention it. I've seen mention of 10mb per sec downloads speeds, which sounds like a lot to me, but is this enough for a map and tons of POIs... I don't know?
Thanks for any posts guys
ps, I've heard Kingston cards are good........ |

Touch wood, I'm having no problems at all at the moment (search back through the forums to see the problems I have had).
My SD card is made by a company called "Adata Technology" - see http://www.adata.com.tw/en/p-f2-03.htm.
I didn't know about the SD card issue when I bought it so I guess I've been lucky.
I think upgrading the ROM/BT on my 2210 fixed the vast majority of the issues I had.
I have not upgraded to the latest TT 3.03.... I'll wait to see if there are any horror stories.

I don't have any BT issues now that Tomtom replaced the BT receiver, my tt3 maps are on a Sandisk Ultra II with poi enabled and it finerly works.

Cool. The Sandisk Ultra II is a very fast card isn't it - I'm trying to find a fast one as I think this might be one of the important factors in getting a set-up that works.....but I only want 128mb and also, most sites don't talk about the speed of the cards that they are selling which is really annoying! |

Not sure how fast The Sandisk Ultra II is, but someone did post on these forums a program to test the speed of your cards, will see if I can find it.
Also I got a Sandisk Connect plus 128mb cf wifi card with tt3 maps on and even that works now.

All Sandisk SD cards can be problematic - including the Ultra II cards.
The best SD cards seem to be those made by Toshiba and Panasonic. Valueflash should soon have Panasonic brand cards in stock, which should be a safe option. They're more expensive than many, but they don't suffer from the problems that many suffer with Sandisk cards (which many brands rebadge).
