The code should be personal to you. As long as your fully registered on Navigon's website you should get one from what I can tell. If you brought the 8110 recently you may find the update is free. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

Anyone else get the feeling the delay in release may have been more to do with the Q2 map update than anything else?
Just seems a coincidence that both were released on the same day.
Hate the fact I'm stuck at work _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

Strange, I would have thought you should get the mail. Check SPAM filters and such. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

My voucher code was in an email; I receive occasional emails about things happening as I chose the option to have emails sent to me when I registered the 8110 - do you choose the option to receive emails from Navigon? I don't know if they have notified all registered 8110 owners or just those who said they wanted to be told of events/offers etc.
If you do get emails, you should get this one soon - if you don't hear anything soon contact them. _________________ David

I use to get mails (specially when new maps are released). I will wait until i get the Q2 map announcement, and then i will contact with navigon if the offer mail is still "missing"....as a matter of fact i contact with navigon yesterday to ask if the two years free maps period is renewed buying the upgrade (without answer yet) |

Website ordering page says at the bottom previous items will be carried over, so assume the reminder of the map updates will. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

Although it may not have happened to others, just in case it does - Don't Panic:
When doing the Q2 map download yesterday, and also when downloading the 8310 upgrade today, it failed about 3/4 way through with a message "failure retrieving from archive (error 1113)", or something similar.
On pressing OK the installation process almost seemed to hang for a long time but it was obviously trying to restart the process. It then sprang into life, and the second time through everything went ok. I suspect it might be some sort of timing conflict as it's such a long process, or maybe it thought it had run out of space the first time through before the old maps/program were properly deleted. _________________ David

Order placed and downloading
Shame the Q2 map download last night was a waste of time as I see the 8310 is still on the Q1 maps. Oh well I'm sure they will update the maps very soon. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

Too true - just reinstated all my Q2 maps myself! Maybe the upgrade would go ok with no maps selected for download, but I don't like doing anything out of the ordinary with this software! _________________ David

PoiWarner should still work, not tried yet. Going to download the new install file and see if it will simply update the exsisting installation.
Seems to be the same code _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

I've upgraded and POI-Warner is OK (subject to road trials ). I did have to do what jonandmarkuk suggested a long time ago and put the POI-W 'Updateme' file from the PC (on mine it's in "Program Files/POI-Warner MN7 Edition/Installation") back into the MAIN Navigon folder on the unit's card - it seems to get deleted nearly every time you do an update.
POI-Warner have also done an update so you will probably have to go through that as well, but I synchronised some French supermarkets successfully afterwards.
And, as reported in another Navigon thread Quote: | 8110 software upgrade - first impressions | a reset or two may be needed!
