|
|
I have recently purchased a Zumo 660 and after loading the PGPSW camera database I find that the warnings signal at camera positions even when they are on the other side of the road and pointing in the wrong direction.
This didn't happen with the Cyclops database that came with the unit, nor does it happen with my Mio PDA that uses Mapfactor SAtNav software.
Can anyone please explain why this should be and if there is a cure? |

Sadly Garmin only allow direction specific alerts for their own Cyclops database. It's the same for TomTom and most other brands. Whilst we do collect directional data only a few makes will support it for 3rd party databases. |

Thanks for the reply (bloody quick it was too )
So I will have to live with it. I have joined the Zumo forum and will post on there to see if anyone has found a solution, although I suspect you know the likelyhood of that already. |

There is no solution unless you choose Garmin's service. They have chosen to lock out this option for third parties. _________________ Darren Griffin |
