Hi, I currently use speed zoned Uk on y tomtom go 730T. we are off to france next month, do I need to load speed zoned europe as well as UK or does europe cover the uk file also?
I guess the europe files will be pretty bid and should be deleted again when back in the UK? |

Hi Kevindefty.
I also have a Go730 and my Uk and Europe speed camera data bases live quite happily side-by-side on it, permanently. The files are not so large that you would notice any degradation in function so deletion is not necessary unless you wish to free up storage space for something else.
There used to be a problem with the icons supplied with the EURO database. The colour red in symbols for speeds over 80kmh did not show on the TT. (This may have been resolved by now) but was easily overcome by downloading the alternative set of EURO icons from the "Customise Your GPS/Satnav" page which is available from the "Free POIs & More" tab at the top of this page. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

That problem existed for a few days only and was corrected as soon as it was reported _________________ Darren Griffin |

Sorry Darren, I was unaware that the problem was rectified. However, I have just checked and I think the original gremlins have returned.
If I do this correctly, you shall see some screenshots below of pgpsw speedcams with no RED roundels, all taken from last weeks database.
Regards, AliOnHols.

Doh!
Guess that wasn't the correct way to post a screenshot. I shall return when I have searched for and found the correct way of doing it.
P.S. If anyone can spot where I entered the wrong code in the above submissions, pls let me know. ttfn. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

You need to host the images on a web-server, looking at your post it looks like you've simply copied the path of the files on your PC? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren, I don't have a web-server positing thingy at the mo, so suffice to say that as of last weeks downloads, red does not display on any pgpsw euro icon with a speed of more than 70 kmph. I still must download GerryC's icons to display camera positions correctly. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

The ones he's messing with now (and deleted) are though....
AliOnHols - When you post the pics at ImageShack goto the top of the page and copy the simple url to the pic. paste it here and surround with [ img ] tags.
Don't try using the pre-formatted links. If you edit your post you can see what i've done. |
