After trying a lot of apps for the iPhone for “speed camera” detection, I never was fully satisfied until i ran into an little gem called ‘QFlits’.
This app doesn’t use the GPS or anything, but simply gathers info from websites that post the current speed traps along the road. (Here in Europe a lot of radio stations broadcast this info). It’s amazingly effective how you can just check whether there are speed traps on your way to work, the moment you get in your car.
Of course it doesn’t include the fixed cams, but you know where they are anyway (and i have 4 apps allready on the iPhone that give me that info also |

yup that's true
But to be honest you don't need to ..just checking where they are hiding is enough. It's not with GPS coordinates anyway. Then you can use the other app to get the "GPS functionality". Which I tend to do less and less lately :p |

Are there any applications for the iPhone that can use the speed camera database? |

Just to clarify, there are several speedcam apps on iTunes. I'm wondering if any of these license the PocketGPS Speed Camera Database, or can at least import from it? |
