We've been suffering from a Denial of Service (DDoS) attack this afternoon.
As soon as we'd identified the cause we sent the Doberman's out and I'm pleased to say that service is now resumed.
For those of you who do use Twitter, we were posting updates as to the cause so if you're not following us, feel free to add us! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Although I'm not entirely sure what happened, we lost all access to the server at about 9pm this evening.
Service has just been restored (crossed fingers!) and I'll find out excatly what transpired in the morning. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Mike, the admin at TTF was told the hosting co was changing servers about 30 minutes before it happened. Connection today has been very spotty but Robby hopes to have everything back to normal by tomorrow morning according to his message. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

Our providers log tells us the Cisco Guard DDoS protection was installed shortly before our complete outage and service was restored after they removed it.
Now I'm far from expert in such things but I thought the whole point was that a DDoS appliance would block malicious traffic only and not everything!
Stern complaint to provider on route _________________ Darren Griffin |
