If you have no backup then you will have to purchase a new map from TomTom using the TomTom Home software on your PC, there are no alternate outlets for the maps these days - Mike |

If your maps were, at one point, updates from what map originally came on your unit, then they may still be found on your computer in the TomTom/download/map folder.
Good luck.... _________________ David |

Did you ever download an updated map for your device? if not there won't be a file on the PC, if you did download a map update try searching the PC for United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland as that is what the file will be called while still zipped up its around 185MB in size - Mike |

I have just purchased maps pre-installed on an sd card, which seems to work fine, from a company called Hyper Gear for £44 including postage. everything you need is installed on the card. the only thing is if you make another backup on another sd card it may not work, I tried it and it didn't work for me but the original does. I found this company on Amazon. |
