Hi all
First time i have posted here
I have also had problems with the latest update. I have been in touch with tomtom and informed them of the multiple issues i have found.
I am using a go 520 and have found the volume issue mentioned by others, my TMC receiver no longer finds a station and above all the tomtom remote no longer works when in the phone number menu's. The navigation buttons no longer move the cursor to select letters to find a name or scroll down the list of recently dialed numbers. I have now returned my unit to version 8.302 until these issues are resolved (if ever, knowing TomTom).

Now that I have a satellite lock it my device tells me I am doing 0/30 mph instead of 0/31mph.
edit: like some other new navcores, when you browse the map it shows you a floating arrow tip that shows the distance to home/ destination, plus an arrow showing North in relation to the direction you should be heading.
edit2: operate my Go is working right off the bat too.

Is there any way you can turn OFF these arrows???
if you accidently touch them -- they take you to you home location.. _________________ Happy to meet -- Sorry to part -- Happy to meet again |

If you don't want the markers go to Browse Map/ Options/ Advanced and de-select the checkbox for "Markers" they won't bother you again - Mike |

I've not done a journey yet but i'll have a better idea when i take the car out for a drive tonight.
Cheers

I upgraded my Go 720 to Navcore 8.350, but, like others, found the volume inadequate so reverted to 8.302. However, when I connect to Home it still shows me as having 8.350 installed. Obviously it doesn't actually check what is on the PND but just looks at your download history

The mp3 playback is significantly better than 8.3xx, but ipods and mp3 car head units don't speed up and down and stutter occasionally. |
Are you running the TT app and/or mapping off the SD card as well? This could well have an effect. _________________ Phil |

Nope, app and maps on internal memory, mp3s on a 4gb Class 6 SDHC card. |

Can you please advise your membership to NOT download the latest application 8.350 software as there is a major bug which reduces the spoken volume down by at least 50 %.
So at normal road noise level the device is difficult to hear when the unit is on 100% volume.
Why TomTom cannot get there software to work is beyond me, there is a perfectly good volume bar at the bottom of the touch screen to reduce the volume if required.
Many thanks

Not on my 540 it doesn't. In fact it is running better than ever |

Because it will give you the perspective on where you are compared to the places you are interested in? |
Because you can use it to work out how long it would take a (fast) pig to fly there without using good ole IQ Routes and ALG! _________________ Dennis

Sorry, DennisN, but the volume seems exactly as it was before. Could that be because I reverted to the official software and voices before downloading the last map update? |
Am I surprised? NO!!! You're the one who won a 720 which works. I am now going to go delete just about everything off the 920 to see what happens when I connect to Home. _________________ Dennis
