Massive apologies if this has been asked before,
but is there anyway of having POIs appearing on the map when a pre designated route has not be inputted into the gps, or will the icons only appear when on route.

Browse Map...
Options
Tick Points of Interest AND at bottom left tap POI
tick the POI/s you want to display.
If you also want an audible warning, go to...
Change Preferences
Manage POIs
Warn when Near POI
Choose the POI/s you want warnings for
Choose distance for warning
Select warning sound
Do NOT tick Warn only if POI is on route _________________ Dennis

Looking at lonedreamer's previous posts it appears it might be a Garmin which he is referring to, in which case it varies from model to model, but most newer ones will show POIs if you are zoomed in enough. However if you have automatic zoom on i find Garmins tend to zoom out too far so you can't generally see them. |
