Having just spent a frustrating 30 mins tyring to find the answer on the TT website I am praying someone can help me out. Can anyone advise which version of TT I need to purchase for my newly acquired HTC Touch HD.
Many thanks

Rob AFAIK there isn't a version of TTN that will work that includes support for the application as TomTom don't have the PDA phone listed as compatible.
You might find TTN6 works but the maps are so far out of date its not worth bothing with, TTN7 isn't available as a retail version it is pre-loaded to certain HTC devices from specific countries.
Look at the alternative software for navigation such as McGuider that will run on the Touch HD - nice phone BTW - Mike |

Thanks Mike - Much appreciated - have never tried anything other than TomTom - can't beleive it was 7 years ago since I first registered on the forum - how quickly time goes by.
Will have a look at the others and hope that TT provide a workable version asap.

You can put Navigator 6 on an HD, you need to load a program called WVGAFIX3 to reset the screen resolution to run it though. It is not set to run at WVGA.
TomTom did not want to let me change devices but it says in the EULA it can only be loaded on one device at a time. When I read that back at them they let me change over.
Fozzer, where did get a copy of TT7? Be interested to get one instead of changing res all the time |

Try a search for TT 7.910.9185 - I got mine from XDA developers.
Tomtom UK have confirmed to me that this version if used in the UK isn't a pirated version but won't officially be supported.
I also use Tomtom home 2.5 which recognised the Touch HD and I purchased the 8.15 maps & traffic.
map updates and all other downloads work fine for me.

on my htc touch hd i could not get version 7.910 or 7.915 to work but 7.450 works a treat and im using maps 8.25.2159 released in march 2009 as for pirate issues if you did not get it with a new phone listed on tomtom.com then its a pirate version |

I think you can get Nav 6/7 working on these units if you install a work around found on This page which forces the device to use VGA - it is switchable between the different resolutions - a handy bit of software for the Touch HD owners - Mike |
