see previous post re: speed cam database for france.
While searching for a speed cam database for France, I happened across POI Place. This is linked to from the Checkpoint website and I noticed that the speed cameras were divided into speed-related separate databases, which is great for use with GPS assist's "POI based Speed Alert" feature. How nice it would be if our old favourite Pocket GPS database was divided in this way cos it seems to work really well _________________ Bilko |

GPSAssist is being developed by Jo at the moment.
If you are a user of GPSAssist, why don't you become a beta tester - the more the merrier!
Please see the following link for further details.

I already AM a betatester for GPS assist, and I think its fab. I think you missed my point. I was remarking that it would be good if our very own Pocket GPS Speed Camera Database was divided up into Speed categories (i.e. all the 50MPH ones together etc.) asimilarly to the ones I downloaded from POIplace. _________________ Bilko |

It's in the pipeline. Our database has over 3000 entries and only a small percentage have speed information attached.
We are working towards updating this and once we have that it will be broken down into speeds. I'm also stripping out the Traffic Light cameras into a seperate database and the same for mobile speed traps but it's a slow process. _________________ Darren Griffin |

When what exactly will be released? If you mean the database broken down by speed, it's work in progress, when we get speed information for a camera we add it to the database, until we have the majority of cameras with this data it will be released without as it is currently. _________________ Darren Griffin |
