Someone mentioned it was a Beta on a now locked topic. I can't see any mention of it being a Beta..... |

I think its worth mentioning, that this is now a 'full' release for all users, and not a 'beta update'. _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

I've corralled the topics and added the version number to the opening post here to try and prevent more new threads on this subject _________________ Darren Griffin |

Well pardon me for not having the intelligence to see it was already an active thread. My humblest apologies Anita. |

Darren, LesP2008 started a new thread on this subject this morning, which I locked, giving a link to this thread. _________________ Anita

Ah right! Les, nothing personal but whenever a new release such as this comes out we end up with dozens of unconnected threads if we don't act quickly.
It's no reflection on you, just easiest for all if we all discuss it in one thread. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Nothing personal, but i just cannot see any other thread about this. I can only get to this thread through the link that Anita put up.
Apologies though, looking at it, it does sound a bit harsh. |

Clearly there is some fault with this update as opposed to v2.5 which was totally stable. |
Not 'clearly' ...
I have exactly the opposite to you. I had several crashes on Home v2.5 - usually when exiting the emulator, but v2.6 has not crashed once on me yet. |

Sorry Andy - Not sure what you are getting at. |
OK....
Not "clearly" to me.
Happy now?
I just find it annoying when people automatically say there is a problem with something specific when the problem could lie in many other places.
If it were that simple, TomTom would always produce perfect updates. |

Not to stir things further, I myself have upgraded from 2.5 beta to 2.6 full and have absolutely no problems with it! Apart from it saying there's a new map available when I have the latest, it runs fine. _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE
